Mr. Syed Shafqat Ali Shah is a distinguished businessperson having a vast experience in diverse fields, holds a dual M.A qualification in Foreign Affairs and Political Sciences from the University of Virginia and also earned hisPh.D in 1977 from the University of Virginia. His dissertation paper was entitled “The Political and Strategic Foundation of International Arms Transfers”.

He has also attended senior management seminars, conferences and represented Pakistan at various International events.

His business acumen and leadership led Matiari Sugar Mills towards creation, implementation & development of core strategies that ensure the company’s business objectives are achieved and stakeholder expectations are met. He is responsible for managing the business to achieve optimal profitability and effective use of the business’ resources and human capital.
